Join a dynamic group of New York State business
owners, disability advocates, disabled individuals, government personnel and
other interested individuals in a travel subcommittee sponsored by the New York
State Independent Living Council (NYSILC). The group meets monthly by
telephone. It is the mission of the Travel subcommittee: 1) To establish
guidelines for Hotels, Motels and Conference Facilities throughout New York
State. And 2) To assist individuals with physical disabilities who require
accessible accommodations. The travel sub-committee is currently developing a
statewide survey to assess the travel needs of individuals with disabilities.
